The gaze wanders through a room that belongs to a purely aesthetic dimension. A burst of images andsounds that, like the fruits in the Canestra by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio, bends towards the spectator and invite him to reflect on his own perceptions. The lost gaze of today’s artist that, unaware of his last day alive, tries to shorten the distance between the subject observing and the object being observed in an attempt to restore a pure contact with the image. Perforating the images and entering their skin becomes necessary in a society where mass
